TRC Junior/HP Program Female's Trialling Day

TRC's high-performance squad will be running a FEMALE'S Junior/HP trial day on Sunday, 15 October 2023, from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. (away by 8:30 a.m.) that will enable you to train in medium/big boats alongside our established athletes. Come along if you are interested and one of the following describes you:

​

• a Year Eleven 1st or 2nd VIII rower and wanting to keep rowing over the winter to improve your technique for the 2024 season;
• a Year Twelve 1st or 2nd VII rower wanting to continue rowing or to simply stay in touch with the sport until you have completed year 12 before continuing with competitive rowing
• someone who has left school in the last few years and are thinking about returning to rowing,

Year 11 rowers

For this group within the squad, our program runs during Term 1 and Term 4. As this group is highly subscribed each year, we are looking for competitive athletes who are striving to be in top crews and want to continue with rowing after school.

Athletes are required to attend the Trialling Day before they are offered a place in this group in the squad.

Year 12 rowers

At Toowong, we understand that the Year 12 study workload makes this a challenging time in a young adult's life. We are keen to support you on your rowing journey beyond school but catering to your priority to complete year 12.

We want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with the sport until you have completed year 12 and are ready to continue competitive rowing after school. For you, this is simply a pathway so that you can balance rowing and schoolwork.

Those who have left school in the last few years

You've left school, still have the rowing bug, and were thinking about easing yourself back into rowing. If so, then this is the opportunity for you to pull out that old zootie and see if it still fits.
